Training Offerings

Flight and ground instruction for students and pilots at different stages of training.

Private Pilot

Private Pilot Certificate (PPL)

The Private Pilot Certificate is where almost every pilot starts, and for most people it's also the finish line. It's the certificate that lets you fly for the pure enjoyment and freedom of it.

Act as pilot in command of an aircraft, day or night, carrying passengers.
Fly cross-country throughout the country and, with the right planning, internationally.
Take friends and family flying, rent aircraft, and build your own flying experiences.
Fly VFR in good weather and add an Instrument Rating later if you want to fly in more conditions.
Share eligible operating costs with passengers within the applicable FAA rules.
Commercial

Commercial Pilot Certificate (CPL)

The Commercial Pilot Certificate is the next step for pilots who want flying to be part of their career, or who simply want the more advanced skill level and precision it demands.

Be compensated for certain flying activities.
Continue toward professional roles in flight instruction, corporate aviation, airlines, and other flying careers.
Train to tighter tolerances and learn additional maneuvers that further develop aircraft control.
CFI

Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI)

The Flight Instructor Certificate is for commercial pilots who want to teach, build experience, and turn their flying skills into an instructional role.

Teach students toward pilot certificates and ratings within your instructor privileges.
Provide endorsements and recommend qualified applicants for practical tests.
Build meaningful instructional and PIC experience while developing a deeper understanding of the material you teach.
Flight Reviews

Flight Reviews

A Flight Review includes at least one hour of ground training and one hour of flight training with a CFI. We'll review the regulations, maneuvers, and procedures that are relevant to your flying and address anything that has changed since your last review.

Proficiency

Proficiency and Rusty-Pilot Training

If you've been away from flying for a few months or a few years, we'll start with where you left off and what you want to fly now. Training may include a logbook review, a knowledge refresher, and the flight time needed to rebuild proficiency and confidence.

Custom Programs

Custom Training Programs

Training can be built around your schedule, timeline, and goals. Options can include accelerated training, early-morning or weekend scheduling, remote ground instruction, combined certificate pathways, and additional emphasis on the type of flying you plan to do.

International

International Students

International students are welcome to train with me. I maintain my own Flight Training Security Program account, so eligible students can associate their FTSP account directly with me.

Train directly with the same instructor throughout your program.
Schedule training around your availability and progress rather than a class schedule.
Pay the same published instruction and aircraft rates rather than a separate international-student rate.

I am not able to sponsor or assist with visas or immigration matters. Those requirements must be handled separately before beginning the applicable FTSP approval process.
